CVE-2021-43757

Sensitive memory disclosure via malformed 3GP parsing

Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Media Encoder 22.0 and 15.4.2 and earlier allows attackers to disclose memory via a malicious 3GP file. The 3GP parser reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing crafted file data, exposing adjacent process memory; Adobe has not named the exact routine or malformed field. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, and the disclosed memory can weaken ASLR protections.
