Arbitrary file read via accepted file URLs
Published Feb 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in kkFileView 4.0.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary host files through the unauthenticated getCorsFile endpoint. OnlinePreviewController.getCorsFile passes the urlPath parameter to URL normalization and downloads the resulting resource without rejecting file URLs. No authentication is required, so a crafted request can disclose any local file readable by the service account.
