Script execution via unsanitized link name
Published Mar 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Maccms 10 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a crafted link_Name value. The friend-link management form accepts a link_name[] value containing an event-handler payload, saves it, and renders it without effective neutralization. Direct injection requires backend access, while the reported CSRF combination can submit the value through an administrator; execution still requires the stored entry to be rendered in a victim's browser.
