Database disclosure via blind tag parameter injection
Published Mar 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in ApiManager 1.1 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries through the tag parameter of the API route. The /index.php?act=api handler incorporates the GET tag value into a WHERE or HAVING expression without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean- and time-based blind queries. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated oracle permits database contents to be inferred while timed payloads can delay responses.
