Client-side script execution via unsanitized SSID
Published Mar 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in TOTOLINK EX300_v2 firmware 4.0.3c.140_B20210429 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a malicious SSID. The /home.asp page inserts an SSID value from wireless scan results into generated content without sanitization, so a browser interprets embedded markup as code. A victim must open the page while the crafted SSID is visible; execution occurs in the device interface's origin and is limited to browser-accessible data and actions.
