Administrator-session script execution via context-mismatched escaping
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in N-Media Frontend File Manager Plugin 18.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The unauthenticated wpfm_edit_file_title_desc AJAX handler stores file_title after applying esc_attr, then renders it outside an HTML attribute in the admin interface. A victim must visit the plugin settings page, where the stored script can act with that browser session's privileges.
