Stored XSS via unauthenticated settings update
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in WP DSGVO Tools (GDPR) before 3.1.24 allows remote attackers to inject scripts through unauthenticated settings changes. The plugin accepts settings changes without sufficient input sanitization and later emits the stored values without output escaping. No account is required; the payload executes when a user opens an affected page and can redirect site traffic through database-injected code.
