Unauthenticated media downloads via broken browser access control
Published Nov 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Broken access control in pixx.io integration for TYPO3 1.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to download DAM media files. The bundled media browser accepts unauthenticated requests and forwards them to the pixx.io API with the configured API user's authority. No TYPO3 backend account is required, and access is bounded to media available to that configured API user.
