Authenticated SSRF via unrestricted image download
Published Nov 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SSRF in the pixx.io integration for TYPO3 before 1.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to download remote content to chosen filenames. The extension accepts an attacker-selected remote location instead of enforcing the configured pixx.io DAM URL, then saves the response under a user-controlled filename. A TYPO3 backend account is required; executable content saved under a suitable filename creates a remote code execution path.
