Code execution via pre-buffer PDW parser write
Published Dec 28, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in FATEK Automation WinProladder 3.30_24518 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDW file. The PDW parser fails to validate user-controlled fields and writes before the start of an allocated data structure. Execution requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page, and resulting code runs in the current process.
