Spam relay via unauthenticated HTML email action
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in N-Media Frontend File Manager Plugin 18.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to send arbitrary HTML email. The unauthenticated wpfm_send_file_in_email AJAX action copies attacker-controlled recipient, subject, and message fields into an HTML email and calls the send routine without authorization or sanitization. No WordPress account or valid file identifier is required, allowing any network-reachable attacker to use the site as a spam relay.
