Unauthenticated file disclosure via attacker-controlled Flask paths
Published Nov 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in AlquistManager commit 280d99f43b11378212652e75f6f3159cde9c1d36 allows remote attackers to read host files via crafted HTTP paths. The get_bot4 routes in alquist/IO/input.py concatenate attacker-controlled path input into the directory argument passed to Flask's send_from_directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; readable application, configuration, and system files can be disclosed under the service account's permissions.
