Arbitrary file disclosure via attacker-controlled output path
Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in OpenCV-REST-API at commit 69be158c05d4dd5a4aff38fdc680a162dd6b9e49 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. The static_outputs_view route derives the directory and filename from its path parameter and passes them to Flask send_from_directory without restricting the directory to application storage. No authentication or user interaction is required, but process permissions bound which local files the endpoint can disclose.
