CVE-2021-43493Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via unchecked download path

Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path traversal in ServerManagement allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through the /DownFile route. At commit 49491cc6f94980e6be7791d17be947c27071eb56, DownFile decodes the attacker-controlled filename and passes its directory and basename to send_from_directory without restricting the requested path. The route is guarded by cklogin, and reads are bounded by the service account's permissions; exposed credentials supply a path to later code execution.
