Admin request forgery via optional nonce validation
Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Process Steps Template Designer 1.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to submit forged admin requests. The nonce check in icons-selector/font-awesome-field.php runs only when fa_field_icon_nonce is present, so requests that omit it bypass verification. Exploitation requires a site administrator to act on attacker-controlled content; published sources do not specify the resulting state change.
