Authenticated command execution via diagnostic input injection
Published Dec 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in the goahead component of VINGA WR-N300U 77.102.1.4853 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The Ping and traceroute interfaces pass attacker-controlled diagnostic input to command execution without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access to the router's authenticated management interface is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the goahead process's privileges.
