Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in affected i3 International Annexxus cameras allows remote attackers to create a second administrator account. The UserPermission endpoint accepts manipulated PUT and DELETE parameters that change a newly created account's userType to admin despite the one-administrator limit. No authentication or user interaction is required; the resulting account retains administrative access to the camera.
