Stored script execution via signup profile fields
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the iResturant 1.0 signup form allows remote authenticated users to execute script through NAME or ADDRESS input. The form stores these fields without neutralizing script-bearing input, and a later page renders the stored values in another user's browser. A low-privilege account can plant the payload, but execution requires another user to view the affected record, limiting consequences to data and actions available in that browser session.
