Code execution via invalid DXF dash counter
Published Nov 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2022.11 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DXF file. The DXF line-type parser accepts an invalid dash counter and reads past the end of its allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user or application to process the malicious file, and code runs in the current process.
