Code execution via unchecked DGN parsing write
Published Nov 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2022.11 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DGN file. The DGN parser writes past the end of an allocated buffer when validating crafted input, corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires an attacker to provide a malicious DGN file that the SDK-consuming process reads; execution occurs in that process context.
