Code execution via invalid drawing property count
Published Nov 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2022.11 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DXF or DWG file. The drawing parser accepts an invalid number of properties and writes beyond the end of its allocated buffer while processing the file. Exploitation requires the malicious drawing to be read and executes code in the context of the affected process.
