Authenticated file read via unchecked SVG path
Published Mar 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
The Plus Addons for Elementor free 2.0.6 and earlier and pro 4.1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files. The Info Box SVG handler passes the supplied image path to file_get_contents without verifying that it identifies an SVG file. Contributor-level Elementor editor access is sufficient, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the WordPress process.
