Memory disclosure or crash via short recorder filename
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Teluu PJSIP 2.11.1 and earlier allows attackers to read adjacent memory or crash applications via a short filename. pjsua_recorder_create examines the filename suffix without first ensuring that the supplied filename contains at least four bytes. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled filename data into the recorder API; PJSIP exposes no direct network call to this API.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
