Service interruption via malformed IKE packet
Published Nov 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory-safety flaws in the IKE component of Wind River VxWorks 6.9 through 7 allow remote attackers to interrupt service with a crafted packet. The IKE packet-processing path reads beyond a buffer's end or releases the same allocation twice when it handles the malformed input; the responsible routine and field are undisclosed. An unauthenticated network path to the IKE service is required, and public records establish service disruption but not whether the outcome is a crash or another interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
