Script execution via unsanitized legend series names
Published Feb 22, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Cross-site scripting in NHN Cloud TOAST UI Chart 4.1.4 allows attackers to execute script through a crafted chart series name. The legend renderer inserts the series name into generated HTML without sanitizing dangerous tags or event-handler attributes before browser rendering. An application must pass attacker-controlled series data to a chart and a user must render it; the injected script then runs in that application's browser origin.
