SYSTEM privilege escalation via directory junction

Link following in Windows Setup on affected Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server builds allows local users to gain SYSTEM access. Windows Update Assistant follows an attacker-created directory junction and changes the DACL on an arbitrary file. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution and an administrator to begin a Windows version update, after which attacker code runs as SYSTEM.
