Code execution via DevTools use after free
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Use after free in DevTools in Google Chrome before 91.0.4472.77 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted extension. Google identifies DevTools as the affected locus but has not published which object is freed or how the extension later causes that object to be reused. Exploitation requires a user to install the malicious extension, after which code executes with the browser process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
