Database compromise via unvalidated cart item identifier
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Projectsworlds Online Shopping System PHP 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries through a crafted id parameter. cart_remove.php incorporates the unauthenticated GET value into a database query without validating it, enabling error-based extraction through MySQL updatexml(). Network access to the public cart-removal endpoint is sufficient, exposing application database contents and operations without an account.
