Unauthenticated code execution via malformed query string
Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in DrayTek Vigor 2960, Vigor 3900, and Vigor 300B 1.5.1.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via HTTP. The mainfunction.cgi handler fails to neutralize special elements in a malformed query string before using the input as command syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands on the appliance.
