User redirection via trusted Host header
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Host-header injection in Compass Plus TranzWare Online 5.3.33.3 F38 and FIMI 4.2.19.4 25 allows remote attackers to redirect users. The FIMI web interface trusts an attacker-supplied HTTP Host value and copies it into the Location header of a 302 response without validation or escaping. Exploitation requires a target user to follow the redirect; the demonstrated consequence is navigation to an attacker-controlled domain, not server-side code execution or service interruption.
