Reflected XSS via PHP_SELF path injection
Published Jan 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in 01-Scripts 01-Artikelsystem allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a crafted request URL. In 01article.php, the filename variable takes $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'], including attacker-controlled path data, and later output reflects that value without neutralization. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL; the injected script runs in the application's origin and can read or alter data available to that browser session.
