Administrative access via out-of-scope API operations
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Authorization bypass in TIBCO Spotfire Server allows remote authenticated users to gain administrative access through custom API clients. The server accepts internal API operations from a custom client outside the authorization scope granted to that client; TIBCO has not disclosed the affected endpoint or failed authorization check. Exploitation requires interaction by another user, and full administrative access requires that participating user to be a privileged administrator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
