CVE-2021-43008Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via MySQL import request

Published Apr 5, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper access control in Adminer 1.12.0 through 4.6.2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via a remote MySQL server. After Adminer connects to an attacker-controlled database, the server issues a MySQL local-file import request and Adminer returns the named file. Exploitation requires a reachable Adminer endpoint and permission for its PHP process to read the requested file; the direct impact is disclosure of readable files.
