Unauthenticated command execution via crafted language setting
Published Jun 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK EX1200T firmware 4.1.2cu.5215 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted langType value. The global.so setLanguageCfg function accepts newline-separated shell commands in langType and invokes them through the device's command-processing path. Network access to cstecgi.cgi is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs commands with the web service's device privileges.
