Unauthenticated command execution via deviceMac injection
Published Jun 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in TOTOLINK EX1200T firmware 4.1.2cu.5215 allows remote attackers to execute commands through deviceMac. The setDeviceMac function in global.so incorporates the POST-supplied deviceMac value into a shell command without neutralizing quotes, newlines, or command syntax. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the injected command executes on the affected network device.
