Unauthenticated command execution via ipDoamin injection
Published Jun 2, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
OS command injection in TOTOLINK EX1200T firmware 4.1.2cu.5215 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted ipDoamin value. The setDiagnosisCfg handler in lib/cste_modules/system.so passes the ipDoamin field from JSON into a shell command without neutralizing embedded newlines or operators. An unauthenticated POST to /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi can run processes and write command output to files with the web service's privileges.
