CVE-2021-42777Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via compiled report scripts

Published Oct 29, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025

Code injection in Stimulsoft Reports 2013.1.1600.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary C# when a crafted report is rendered. In Compilation Mode, the report engine passes embedded report scripts to the CSharp compiler and executes the resulting code, including Process.Start calls. Exposure requires Compilation Mode and attacker-controlled report content; execution occurs with the privileges of the rendering server or local viewer.
