Arbitrary file read via unrestricted GetDumpFile command
Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file read in Broadcom Emulex HBA Manager/OneCommand Manager before 11.4.425.0 and 12.8.542.31 allows remote attackers to read files. The remote GetDumpFile command returns an attacker-selected host file without restricting the request to authorized dump files. Remote exposure requires a management mode other than Strictly Local Management; non-secure mode requires no authentication, and the documented impact is file disclosure only.
