CVE-2021-4275Network attack vector

Cross-site request forgery via disabled CSRF

Published Dec 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Katlings pyambic-pentameter with an unspecified version allows remote attackers to alter actions via crafted POST requests. The Flask app disabled WTF-CSRF protection and its POST forms omitted CSRF tokens until the referenced commit enabled a secret key and inserted tokens into each form. Exploitation requires a victim to load an attacker-controlled page while interacting with the application, allowing unauthorized state-changing requests but no demonstrated direct server takeover.
