SYSTEM privilege escalation via MSI repair temp files

Local privilege escalation in Splashtop Remote Business Client for Windows before 3.5.0.0 allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges. A user-triggered Windows Installer repair performs file operations from the user's %TEMP% directory under the SYSTEM account, including execution of temporary files. Any authenticated local user can invoke the repair through the Windows Installer API or msiexec and execute code with full system privileges.
