Stored XSS via unsanitized quiz fields
Published Nov 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Engineers Online Portal 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The add_quiz.php handler stores quiz_title and description values without neutralizing script markup, which a browser later executes when rendering the quiz. Exploitation requires an authenticated quiz submission and a later visitor to view the stored content, exposing browser-accessible cookies or page content.
