Session cookie theft via stored holiday reason
Published Nov 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Sourcecodester Online Event Booking and Reservation System allows remote authenticated users to steal session cookies. The holiday handler stores executable markup from the reason field through /event-management/api/process.php?cmd=holiday, and the HOLY view later renders it without neutralization. A valid account is required to submit the payload, and a separate user must open the stored holiday entry; execution is confined to that viewer's browser privileges.
