Cross-site scripting via unsanitized TbItemName form input
Published May 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SiteServer CMS 6.15.51 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted TbItemName value. The modalRelatedFieldItemEdit.aspx endpoint accepts an SVG onload handler in the TbItemName POST field without neutralizing executable markup. An attacker must log in and persuade another user to view the affected content; execution is limited to that user's browser context.
