CVE-2021-42642Network attack vector

Unauthenticated printer console credential disclosure via IDOR

Published Feb 2, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

IDOR in PrinterLogic Web Stack 19.1.1.13 SP9 and earlier allows remote attackers to read a printer's plaintext console credentials. The Web Stack printer-object lookup accepts an attacker-selected printer identifier without an object-level authorization check and returns the associated console username and password in plaintext. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to credentials stored for the selected printer.
