Credential disclosure via API-key type juggling
Published Nov 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Jeedom 4.1.26 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve user credentials through its API. The API-key check compares attacker-controlled input to a valid key with PHP's loose equality operator, so type coercion accepts an invalid key. No account or user interaction is required; exploitation permits credential retrieval through protected API calls, without reported data modification or service interruption.
