Stored XSS via unescaped forum name
Published Nov 29, 2021 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Stored XSS in Asgaros Forum 1.15.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a crafted forum name. The administration structure table renders the stored name parameter without sufficient output escaping, allowing markup to execute when the entry is viewed. Exploitation requires administrative access and affects multisite installations, or sites where administrators lack unfiltered_html, with execution occurring in another user's browser.
