Sensitive file disclosure via web-server path traversal
Published Oct 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in the Revisor Video Management System web server before 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to read files outside its restricted directory. The web server fails to confine attacker-controlled paths to its restricted directory, so traversal sequences resolve to files elsewhere on the server. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the web-server process.
