Unauthenticated code execution via login SQL injection
Published Oct 22, 2021 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
SQL injection in BQE BillQuick Web Suite 2018 through 2021 before 22.0.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute code without authentication. The login handler concatenates the txtID username into an MSSQL query, enabling stacked queries against deployments that use the sa database account. With sa access, attackers can re-enable xp_cmdshell, run PowerShell as MSSQLSERVER$, read billing data, and install ransomware.
