Stored script execution via unfiltered page fields
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FlatCore-CMS 2.0.9 allows attackers to execute script in a visitor's browser through crafted page fields. The pages.edit.php workflow stores meta-tag and content values without filtering, so a payload entered during page creation executes when the resulting home page is viewed. Exploitation requires a page-creation path and a victim who loads the affected page; the demonstrated consequence is script execution in that visitor's browser.
