Script execution via unescaped notification fields
Published Feb 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in PaquitoSoftware Notimoo 1.2 allows attackers to execute arbitrary script or HTML via a crafted notification field. The Notimoo.js rendering path treats supplied title and message values as HTML, allowing an image error handler to execute in the page context. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled notification content and a user to view it, exposing data or actions available to the embedding page.
